Peptide Pen Glutathione

Glutathione is a naturally occurring tripeptide composed of three amino acids: L–glutamic acid, L–cysteine, and glycine. Its chemical structure is y-L-Glutamyl-L-cysteinyl-glycine (y-Glu-Cys-Gly), with a uniquey-glutamyl linkage between glutamate and cysteine that confers resistance to standard peptidase degradation. Glutathione exists in reduced (GSH) and oxidized (GSSG) forms, with GSH being the predominant and biologically active state in cells. Mechanism of Action Glutathione is the body’s primary intracellular antioxidant and phase II detoxification cofactor.
